I chose to use this picture of a Canadian soldier in Afghanistan walking between two rows of tanks in a sand storm to show how a very clear, patriotic, pro war, and almost “propaganda” like picture can be turned into something completely opposite. After my adjustment to the picture there is a very different meaning. This soldier has turned from a patriotic hero to a symbol of hatred towards violence and war. I hope that this misconstrued picture puts some questions in everyones minds. IS WAR REALLY WHAT WE ALL WANT?
