New TV or New Life?

This remix is a comment on advertising, depicting one lifestyle and showing the reality of the other. The original add shows images of sports, the advertisers saying “guys, bring your friends over, have a good time and watch the game on this big screen TV.” The remix shows the result of what can happen when a person or family purchases these TV’s. Scenarios like couples disconnect, family arguments and child obesity are some realities from excess TV. I personally like the “TRADE UP” to a life of morbid obesity lived solely with cats. This ad was found in the North Shore News Oct 8, 2010.

  1. New Life!!!
TV is a huge waste of time!

  2. haha its so true, some people will spend their whole life in front of a tv

  3. hahaha I LOVE this! Especially the defeated looking couple sitting on opposite ends of the couch. It reminds me of what I read in Better Love Next Time, an awesome modern-day realtionship advice book by J.M. Kearns. He writes about the risks involved with channel surfing with a mate…no matter how long you’ve been together.

    Nicely done.

  4. thanks! i love that the image of the overweight man with the cats was from a REAL site that the guy made of himself and his life with his cats… i think he’s been watching too much tv šŸ˜‰

  5. interesting! my remix is about “scienceļ¼šhope or risk”. This is about “TV: blessing or curse”
I think the question is how we use it.
